Job summary

Justice Resource Institute seeks an energetic Registered Nurse to join Berkshire Meadows, supporting children and adults with complex disabilities in a residential/special education setting. The role involves promoting health, implementing nursing plans, and coordinating medical care.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures related to authorization, monitoring, orders, observation and documentation.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to help students achieve goals on Individualized Action Plans.
• Develop medical/nursing goals to meet students' health needs and implement objectives.
• Arrange medical consultations, appointments and labs.
• Maintain compliance with safety and clinical standards.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to become part of our dedicated team at Berkshire Meadows! Our program offers services within a residential, special education, and day habilitation setting to children and adults with severe developmental disabilities, including substantial cognitive, physical, and medical disabilities.

Schedule: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (includes weekends - every other)

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $29.81 to $53.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

In this role, you will:

• Follow all procedures related to authorization, monitoring, physician's orders, observation, and documentation.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to assist students in attaining the goals and objectives on their Individualized Action Plans.
• Develop medical/nursing goals and objectives to meet student’s health needs.
• Implement nursing and medical objectives.
• Arrange for medical consultations, appointments, and labs.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have Massachusetts RN license. We can consider candidates who are in the process of obtaining their license and will provide supervision and training to enhance your professional skills. Out-of-state certifications will also be taken into account.
• Candidates who hold a current CPR certification are preferred. Training will be provided if necessary!
• The ability to work independently is required.
• Maintains valid driver’s license.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.
