Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for chemotherapy at the Cancer Center in Fountain Valley, CA. Work Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $135,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality oncology care, educating patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy - Cancer Center M-F 8AM-5PM

Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 per year

Responsibilities

1. Provide expert consultation to patients, their families, and the healthcare team on matters related to cancer care, oncology, and chemotherapy.
2. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients based on their specific needs and conditions.
3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive care.
4. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, potential side effects, and strategies to manage symptoms.
5. Conduct regular patient assessments, monitor their progress, and adjust care plans as needed.
6. Participate in research activities related to oncology and chemotherapy, and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
7. Advocate for patients' rights and needs, and provide emotional support to them and their families.
8. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications

1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
2. A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on Oncology and Chemotherapy.
3. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
4. Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) is highly desirable.
5. Proven experience in patient education and advocacy.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. Compassionate and caring demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care and privacy.
11. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements and best practices in oncology and chemotherapy.
12. Ability to handle the physical and emotional demands of the job.
13. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
