PARKVIEW HEALTH SYSTEM INC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 2-Surgical unit at Parkview Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) position offers a sign-on bonus and competitive benefits.

The 2-Surgical unit is a 35-bed Med Surg setting with diverse diagnoses and procedures, requiring strong patient care and communication skills. Previous RN licensure in Indiana is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN.
• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR certification.
• Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides excellent professional nursing care per physician orders.
• Adhere to hospital policies, ANA Standards of Practice, Indiana Nurses Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.

Summary

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus

The 2-Surgical unit is located on the 2nd floor at Parkview Randallia. This is a 35 bed Med Surg unit with lower to moderate levels of acuity. Patient stays are short term with varieties of diagnosis including COPD, pneumonia, nursing home placements, alcohol withdraw, and drug dependency. Surgeries seen on this unit are appendectomy, cholecystectomy, gynecological, and ortho injuries.

Independently plans and provides excellent professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurses Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
