Job summary

Flushing Health Care Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assess residents, develop and implement care plans, and administer medications with meticulous documentation.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, monitor patient progress, and stay current with best practices. Excellent communication and a compassionate approach are essential to support residents and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing education.
• Current, unencumbered state license as an RN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and document accurately.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly to staff or physician.
• Communicate with residents and families, providing education and support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Document progress and outcomes using electronic medical records.
• Stay current with nursing practices, clinical research, and compliance.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Support a positive, family-like atmosphere through teamwork and communication.
• Perform other duties to ensure optimal resident care and facility operations.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Document patient progress, care interventions, and outcomes accurately using electronic medical records.
• Stay current with nursing best practices, clinical research, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills.
• Support a positive, family-like atmosphere through teamwork, compassion, and open communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure optimal resident care and facility operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing education.
