Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital seeks a skilled Registered Nurse with Radiation Oncology experience to provide comprehensive nursing care for oncology patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in coordination with the care team and develop survivorship care plans.

Role involves coordinating weekly concurrent patient meetings and supporting physicians and nurses within Radiation Oncology JT Venture. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and full-time schedule.

Summary :

Provides professional nursing skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for assigned patients. The Registered Nurse provides care consistent with the standards of professional nursing. Oversees Radiation Oncology patients' care and evaluates the appropriateness and outcome of care in conjunction with the patient care team. Supports and acts as a resource to the physician and health care team. Strives to achieve positive patient care outcomes throughout the disease process by practicing according to the standards of care and procedures and policies provided. Creates and delivers Survivorship Care plans. Coordinates and facilitates weekly concurrent patient meeting with medical oncology clinic nurses.

Requirements:

Radiation or Medical Oncology experience highly preferred.

Interest in Survivorship required.

BCLS certification, Oncology Nurse Certification preferred.

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

Work Shift Details:

Days, 4 shifts a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday)

8a-430a, may vary depending on the needs of the department and patient census

No holidays or weekends

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$35.00 - $42.50
