Parkview Orthopaedic Group, a private practice in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, is recruiting a part‑time RN for the New Lenox office. Illinois license required; orthopaedics experience preferred. Hours vary Monday through Friday with no weekends, evenings, or on‑call duties.

The RN will review messages, triage patient needs, counsel patients and families, and serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and referring offices, while documenting all actions in the EMR.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience; orthopaedics preferred.
• Strong communication and medical judgment.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and charting.

Parkview Orthopaedic Group is a private practice located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work at our New Lenox office. Candidates must be Illinois licensed, and ideally will have experience working in orthopaedics. This is a part time position with hours varying on Monday through Friday to fit staffing needs. No weekend, evening, or on-call requirements!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews incoming messages via NextGen EHR task inbox. Must prioritize appropriately and resolve a wide variety of medical questions for our patients, referring facilities, and more.
• Serves as liaison between patients and physicians, assessing and determining the acuity of patients' symptoms and communicating these to the physicians as appropriate.
• Provides health counseling and education to patients and family members.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for referring physician offices and facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, rehab facilities, pharmacies, vendors, and more.
• Documents all communications and actions in the electronic medical record.
• Serves as a resource for clinical support staff.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 3-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN). Clinical background in orthopaedics preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respond quickly and calmly to patients while exercising excellent medical judgment.
• Strong computer skills with ability to complete medical charting in electronic medical record.
