Job summary

Central Nursing Home in Chicago, IL is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team. RNs provide quality, resident-centered care and collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Illinois.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise, delegate, and provide clinical leadership.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and appropriate nursing care to residents.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor resident conditions.
• Identify and promptly communicate significant changes in resident condition.
• Notify physicians and appropriate members of the care team regarding resident needs and changes.
• Develop, review, and update resident care plans.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Supervise and appropriately delegate responsibilities to LPNs and CNAs.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and other nursing leadership.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, safety, and quality of care.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.

Our RNs play an essential role in providing quality, resident-centered care while providing clinical leadership and collaborating with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, nursing leadership, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Schedule

Available shifts include:

• AM: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• PM: 3:30 PM – 12:0 AM

• NOC: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM

• Rotating weekends and weekend availability may be required
