Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that positively impacts patient well-being and recovery within a hospital setting in Tennessee.

You will perform assessments, administer therapies, manage rapid changes, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes while upholding patient safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure or eligibility in TN.
• Active CPR/AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments and monitor vitals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic and patient monitoring (acute changes, escalation, critical results).
• Administration and monitoring of therapies and medications per patient rights; safety measures to prevent falls/skin breakdown.
• Manage rapidly changing situations; anticipate patient needs and respond appropriately.
• Organize care and coordinate with team to meet multiple patient needs timely.
• Support healing environment; advocate for patient dignity and provide comfort.
• Educate and coach patients on condition and readiness to learn.

• Diagnostic and patient monitoring (detection and recognition of acute changes and escalation or concerns/critical results).

• Administration and monitoring therapeutic interventions and regimens (starting/maintaining intravenous therapies, administering medication per patients’ rights, preventing falls and skin breakdown and following policies in relation to safety measures).

• Effective management of rapidly changing situations (identifying, assessing and anticipating needs).

• Organization and work rule competencies (prioritizing, coordination and meeting multiple patient needs in a timely manner).

• Helping Role (consistently contribute to a healing environment, providing patient comfort and support for human dignity, serving as a patient advocate and building and maintaining a therapeutic environment.

• Teaching-Coaching Function (assess and evaluates the patient’s readiness and ability to learn, effectively explains a patient’s condition and their interpretation of his or her illness.
