Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced setting in Georgia. You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires strong critical thinking, clinical excellence, and a patient-first mindset. Licensure, CPR, ACLS and PALS within specified timelines are essential for hire.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent and completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse: GA license at hire; CPR upon hire; ACLS within 120 days; PALS within 120 days.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred on hire.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic and patient monitoring with rapid escalation of acute changes.
  • Administer and monitor intravenous therapies and medications per patient rights.
  • Manage rapidly changing situations and anticipate patient needs.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and maintain workflow.
  • Support patient dignity, comfort, and advocacy in a healing environment.
  • Explain patient conditions and readiness to learn to patients and families.

  • Diagnostic and patient monitoring (detection and recognition of acute changes and escalation or concerns/critical results).
  • Administration and monitoring therapeutic interventions and regimens (starting/maintaining intravenous therapies, administering medication per patients’ rights, preventing falls and skin breakdown and following policies in relation to safety measures).
  • Effective management of rapidly changing situations (identifying, assessing and anticipating needs).
  • Organization and work rule competencies (prioritizing, coordination and meeting multiple patient needs in a timely manner).
  • Helping Role (consistently contribute to a healing environment, providing patient comfort and support for human dignity, serving as a patient advocate and building and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
  • Teaching-Coaching Function (assess and evaluates the patient’s readiness and ability to learn, effectively explains a patient’s condition and their interpretation of his or her illness.
