Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare is actively seeking an RN for night shift in Bay City, TX. Provide direct nursing care per standards, manage the care plan, and ensure compliance with privacy and policy guidelines.

Role requires an active RN license and an associate degree in nursing. LTC and rehab experience are preferred, with strong PC skills and leadership abilities to support a collaborative nursing team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years' Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• 6 months rehabilitative/restorative nursing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
• Computer literacy in Outlook/Office required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Plan, develop, organize, and direct the resident's care plan.
• Follow facility policies and protect patient privacy and safety.
• Deliver emergency support measures, including CPR.
• Develop daily work and unit assignments with supervision.
• Ensure nursing staff perform duties to acceptable standards.
• Log off computer workstations when unattended.
• Oversee aides and coordinate with staff to maintain policies.

Job Details: Job Location: Paradigm at Bay City - Bay City, TX 77414, Position Type: Full Time, Job Shift: Night, Calling on all compassionate, fun-spirited, and driven RNs! Come join the Paradigm Healthcare team where you will be supported and celebrated each day.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgment.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident's plan of care in accordance with current physician's orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.
• Have knowledge of and utilize of the facility's written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Be compliant with the policies and privacy of the facility and each patient.
• Provides prompt emergency support measures, including CPR.
• Develop daily work assignments and unit assignments, and/or assist nursing supervisory staff in completing and performing such tasks.
• Ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off.
• Oversee nurse aides and communication with and oversight of nursing home staff to ensure that specific policies, procedures, and systems are maintained correctly as it relates to the department.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required2 years' experience in Long-Term Care experience preferredSix (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferredStrong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferredComputer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
