Job summary

Grace Lutheran Communities in Altoona, WI is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the River Pines team. We have full-time and part-time PM/NOC shifts available, with starting pay of $35.00-$42.50 per hour based on experience and shift.

Our organization emphasizes meaningful care and a supportive environment for residents and staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include nursing care, accurate med administration, care plan development, and coordination with physicians.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
• Proven ability to perform and document nursing skills per care plans.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document nursing skills within licensure and care plans.
• Conduct observations, medications, and treatments promptly and accurately.
• Assume charge nurse duties when designated and adjust assignments as needed.
• Assess health status of residents and coordinate physician rounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform and document all basic technical and emergency nursing skills, within the framework of licensure and as outlined on individual care plans
• Conduct observations, medication, and treatments promptly and accurately
• Assume charge nurse duties when designated including but not limited to adjusting assignments and schedules to best meet needs of residents with appropriate use of personnel
• Assess and document health status of all residents who are unstable or requiring intervention
• Make rounds with physicians
• Transcribe physicians orders
• Assist, develop, revise, and review resident care plans
• Evaluate staff observations
• Use equipment and supplies in a precise, accurate, calm manner
• Replace absent staff as necessary
• Has access to confidential information and maintains confidentiality
• Project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and public
• Additional duties as assigned
