Job summary

The Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist at Trinity Health Michigan provides professional patient care during neurodiagnostic testing, including EEG, vEEG, and cEEG, with EMU monitoring applications. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of a Neurodiagnostic program preferred, and at least 1 year of EEG experience.

Certification is preferred or obtainable within 2 years; BLS required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized neurodiagnostic training preferred.
• 1+ year experience performing EEG examinations.

Description

The Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist provides professional quality patient care during the neurodiagnostic testing. The primary accountabilities of the Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist is having knowledge, competence in neurodiagnostic testing such as but not limited to EEG, vEEG, cEEG and EMU monitoring applications.

Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Completion of Neurodiagnostic Technologist program preferred OR work experience in combination with completion of an accredited neuroscience/electroneurodiagnostic program.

Certification

Current certification as Neurodiagnostic Technologist (R. EEG T.) preferred or able to obtain the R. EEG T. registration certification within 2 years of hire date. Current Basic Life Support certification.

Experience

1+ year experience performing electroencephalographic (EEG) examinations.
