Viva Senior Living at Dresher is seeking a part-time Registered Medication Associate (Medication Technician/RMA) to join our clinical team in Dresher, PA. Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Medication Technician/RMA training and certification program as required by applicable state regulations
• Must maintain required certification and complete continuing education as required
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of applicable medication administration techniques and procedures
• Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, healthcare, or senior living is preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must successfully complete required training and competency programs
• Must meet applicable health and employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and in accordance with applicable state regulations, physician orders, and community policies
• Accurately document medication administration and related information
• Follow established medication administration procedures and safety practices
• Observe residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, adverse reactions, or changes in condition
• Promptly communicate concerns or changes to the Resident Care Director, Wellness Director, or appropriate supervisor
• Obtain, record, and report vital signs as indicated
• Assist with medication ordering, receiving, storage, and accountability procedures
• Ensure medications are stored securely and appropriately
• Complete medication counts and shift-to-shift medication accountability according to established procedures
• Monitor medication supplies and report concerns or needs to the appropriate supervisor
• Promote resident choice, dignity, privacy, and independence during medication administration
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and members of the care team
• Follow infection prevention and universal precaution practices
• Maintain clean, safe, and properly functioning medication equipment and supplies
• Assist with resident care responsibilities as assigned and permitted by applicable regulations
• Maintain resident confidentiality and protect Protected Health Information
• Recognize and report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, mistreatment, or violations of residents' rights
• Participate in required training, competency programs, emergency drills, and safety activities
• Assist with emergency procedures and resident evacuation when necessary
• Follow all company, community, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive at your workstation ready to work at your scheduled time

What You'll Do

As a Medication Technician / RMA, you will help ensure residents receive their medications safely, accurately, and with compassion.

This position involves active, hands-on resident care and requires the ability to:

• Use mechanical or assistive devices when appropriate
• Work safely with residents who may have physical, cognitive, or behavioral challenges
• Assist with emergency evacuation procedures when necessary
