Job summary

The role involves taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures during 8- or 12-hour shifts. Qualifications

• Valid CA license/certification as Registered Medical Assistant.
• Minimum 1 year of recent RMA experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (BLS, immunizations, TB test, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and diagnostics.
• Perform basic clinical tasks (injections, wound care, meds) as permitted by state regulations.
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
• Educate patients on medications and follow-up care instructions.
• Maintain clean examination rooms and stocked supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies.
