Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado is seeking a certified technician to perform EEG procedures and monitor patients. You will be responsible for reviewing patient history, educating patients about procedures, and participating in departmental staff development.

The role requires certifications in Basic Life Support and EEG techniques, as well as an associate degree. This full-time position comes with a competitive salary ranging from $26.89 to $50.01 per hour, alongside comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support - CPR.
• Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) required.
• Registered Electroencephalography Technician (REEGT) certification required.
• Registered Evoked Potentials Technologist (REPT) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document patient's condition during EEG procedures.
• Reviews patient history and educates patients about the procedure.
• Identifies and corrects artifacts during EEG procedures.
• Scores, graphs, analyzes, and documents results of diagnostic procedures.
• Participates in departmental and organizational programs and staff development.
• Train Tech I, Tech II, and students.
• Perform routine and complex EEGs.

Job Description

Reviews patient’s history and educates patient about the procedure. Monitors and documents patient’s condition, responding to and reporting any adverse reactions. Identifies and corrects artifacts during EEG procedures. Edits and forwards results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation. Scores, graphs, analyzes, documents, and reports results of diagnostic procedures. Participates in departmental and organizational programs and staff development. Helps train Tech I, Tech II, and students. Fulfills on‑call requirements as per department policy. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs routine and complex EEGs, including video EEG in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Long Term EEG Monitoring. Conducts monitoring of epilepsy surgery EEG and evoked potentials. Applies electrodes in accordance with the ACNS guidelines.
