Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Registered Echovascular Sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations. The Sonographer will obtain high-quality images and assist with diagnostic evaluations to support patient care.

Responsibilities include performing echocardiography and vascular exams, obtaining measurements, reviewing patient history, labeling studies, and submitting completed studies for interpretation while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Current registration/certification in sonography.
• Cardiac and vascular ultrasound experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of echocardiography and vascular imaging techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Obtain and optimize diagnostic-quality images and measurements.
• Review patient history and explain procedures to patients.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively.
• Recognize and document relevant anatomical and physiological findings.
• Ensure accurate labeling, measurements, and patient records.
• Prepare and submit completed studies for physician interpretation.
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout examinations.
• Follow infection control and departmental safety procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
