Texas Health Resources seeks a Registered Echo Sonographer to join the Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic in Fort Worth. The role involves producing echocardiograms, Doppler analysis, and patient education, with travel to nearby hospitals as needed.

Applicants must have RDCS or RCS credentials, BCLS, and strong teamwork. The position requires full-time hours, rotating shifts, and a 50% travel expectation within the region.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification required upon hire; ARDMS preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support maintained biennially and within 90 days upon hire.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology and cardiovascular diseases.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and computer skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and travel to surrounding hospitals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Produce two-dimensional ultrasound recordings and Doppler analyses of heart structures.
• Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment; order supplies as needed.
• Document test values for physician review and interpretation.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Enter patient information into computer systems and review results with physicians.
• Collaborate with physicians, managers and coworkers about patient status during echocardiograms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
