Job summary

AdamsPlace in Anderson, SC is seeking a Registered Dietitian to assess the nutritional status of patients and residents and to plan care to improve health outcomes in a senior care setting. The position is hybrid, combining on-site patient care with coordination and planning duties.

The RDN will collaborate with leadership in the Food and Nutrition Services department and work with NDTR staff to implement nutrition care plans and nutrition service improvements across centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have sincere interest in foodservice & nutrition and enjoy working with the senior care living population and other healthcare patients.
• Must meet Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for RDNs.
• At least one year's experience in clinical nutrition is desired but not essential. Experience of an accredited Dietetic Internship or equivalent training is expected.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of and be able to apply nutrition principles. Must be able to accurately assess nutritional status and plan care for the patients.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Dietitian will ensure that the nutritional status of all patients/residents is assessed accurately and to plan approaches to improve status if needed.
• The RDN will provide guidance to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), FNS Manager, Nutrition and Dietetics Technician Registered (NDTR), and/or the staff of FNS Department.
• Although the emphasis of this position is in the clinical area, duties may include all aspects of food and nutrition services.
