Job summary

The Laurels of Kent in Michigan is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to perform clinical assessments for guests, plan therapeutic and regular diets, and oversee the culinary operations. You will work with the nutrition team to ensure meals meet nutritional needs and dietary orders.

Requirements include RD certification, Serve Safe, and 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred. Join a team dedicated to compassionate care and high-quality dining for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Serve Safe certification required.
• 1–2 years management/supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees purchasing of food and supplies within budget and ensures adequate meal coverage.
• Provides guidance on diet planning, menu formulation, and therapeutic diets.
• Ensures meals are nutritious, palatable, and served timely per diet orders.
• Interviews guests and families to obtain diet history.
• Completes dietary portion of the clinical record accurately and promptly.
• Participates in department meetings and care plan conferences.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the purchase of food and supplies within budget and maintains a supply to adequately cover each meal.
• Provides technical guidance and administrative direction over diet planning, menu formulation, preparation and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Assures meals are nutritious, palatable, and crafted in a timely and consistent manner while adhering to menus and diet orders.
• Interviews guests and family members, as necessary, to obtain diet history.
• Provides timely and accurate completion of dietary portion of the clinical record.
• Participates in regularly scheduled conferences, including department head meetings and interdisciplinary care plan meetings.

Qualifications

• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
