Grove Park Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietitian to join our team in East Orange, NJ. The role offers 8AM-4PM shift hours with flexible options and a focus on compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Complete nutritional assessment on admission.
• Provide individual and group nutrition counseling.
• Develop individualized meal plans considering medical, cultural, and ethical factors.

Responsibilities

• Completes a comprehensive nutritional assessment on each patient upon admission.
• Counsels patients on principles of well-balanced nutrition in individual sessions and conduct group nutrition discussions.
• Prepares individualized meal plans that consider the needs of the patient including; medical, nutritional, age, cultural, religious and ethical concerns.
• Provides at minimum weekly individual nutritional counseling for patients and family (as needed).
• Provides updates on the nutritional status of each patient weekly as part of team rounds/meetings and as requested.
• Completes all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patient’s protected health information.
• Monitors meals and snacks, including eating/modeling normal eating with eating disordered patients.
• Communication with referring and/or outpatient dietitian upon admit to program, during course of treatment as needed, and upon discharge from program.
