Job summary

Charleston-AMG Specialty Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, SC is seeking a PRN Dietitian to advise and counsel inpatients on nutrition and plan therapeutic diets tailored to individual needs.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and therapists to optimize patient outcomes while overseeing meal preparation and dietary staff in a hospital setting. Current licensure as a Dietitian is required in the state of practice, with ongoing continuing education to maintain credentials.

Qualifications

• Current Dietitian licensure required in state of practice.
• Continuing Education of minimum hours every year to sustain credentials.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.

Responsibilities

• The dietitian advises and counsels inpatient on food and nutrition.
• Assesses dietary needs and plans therapeutic diets for inpatients based on patient’s current health concerns.
• Analyses effects of interventions.
• Collaborates with Physician, Nursing and therapists to improve patient outcomes.
• Oversees and implements preparation and service of meals for patients in the hospital.
• Responsible for oversight of dietary staff and their performance as well as ensuring the dietary department is in compliance with company guidelines; state, federal and other governing bodies laws and regulations.
• Assures patients are consistently served diets as ordered following guidelines for meal times and meal temperatures.
