Job Summary

Charleston-AMG Specialty Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, SC, is seeking a PRN Dietitian to counsel inpatients on food and nutrition. The role includes dietary assessment, therapeutic diet planning, intervention analysis, collaboration with physicians and nursing staff, oversight of meal preparation, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and ensuring patients receive diets as ordered.

Responsibilities

• Advises and counsels inpatients on food and nutrition.
• Assesses dietary needs and plans therapeutic diets for inpatients based on current health concerns.
• Analyzes effects of interventions.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing, and therapists to improve patient outcomes.
• Oversees and implements preparation and service of meals for patients.
• Manages dietary staff performance and ensures compliance with company guidelines, state, federal, and other regulations.
• Ensures patients are consistently served diets as ordered following meal time and temperature guidelines.

Requirements

• Current Dietitian licensure in the state of practice.
• Continuing education of minimum hours each year to sustain credentials.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.
