University Hospital seeks a Registered Dietitian to plan, develop, implement, and coordinate nutrition care for outpatient cancer patients, from assessment through survivorship and palliative care.
Responsibilities include nutrition assessment, Care Plan development, counseling, and education for oncology patients and families. RD with 2+ years in acute care is preferred; bilingual Spanish is highly desirable.
The primary purpose of the Registered Dietitian position is to plan, develop, implement, and coordinate all phases of nutritional care for patients in the outpatient Cancer Center. Primary responsibilities include Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Care Plan Development and Follow-Up, Nutrition Education, and Nutrition Counseling for oncology patients. Provides nutrition and hydration requirements and recommendations throughout the continuum of cancer care, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and palliative care. Provides treatment-related symptom management, nutrition support, and addresses quality-of-life concerns through medical nutrition therapy, patient education, and lifestyle recommendations for survivorship, health promotion, and disease prevention.
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is PS/25S: $71,728 - $102,903 per year per year. University Hospital considers multiple factors when determining compensation, including (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s relevant work experience, education and training, key skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational needs. The expected salary range for this position is in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
