Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals with complex health conditions in a hospital setting.

You will apply the Nutrition Care Process with support from advanced practice dietitians and lead clinical nutrition interventions. You will mentor new graduates and interns, interpret evidence-based research, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RD credential required and verified.
• Master’s degree by Jan 2024 for new grads.
• Complete ACEND program (DIDP/DI/CP/competency-based).
• State licensure or certification required by state of practice.
• Demonstrated ability to apply the Nutrition Care Process in diverse populations.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply evidence-based research to practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals with complex conditions.
• Use Nutrition Care Process with autonomy under supervision from advanced dietitians.
• Counsel patients using advanced techniques to influence behavior change.
• Utilize nutrition technology for estimating needs and goals.
• Mentor new grads, interns, and clinical diet techs.
• Integrate evidence-based care with interdisciplinary team and update practices.
• Manage nutrition care across continuum including durable medical equipment orders.
• RD order writing privileges as per policy.
