Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy and lead nutrition care across diverse patient populations.

You will use the Nutrition Care Process with support from senior dietitians and integrate nutrition technology to set goals and monitor progress. In this role, you will mentor graduates and interns, apply evidence-based practices, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to update care processes and optimize

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• For graduates after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a master’s degree by an accredited university.
• ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level program.
• State licensure or certification in accordance with the primary state of practice requirements.
• If required, licensure/certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to apply Nutrition Care Process across populations and disease types.

Responsibilities

• Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals with specialized health conditions.
• Uses Nutrition Care Process with guidance from advanced practice dietitians.
• Employs advanced counseling techniques to influence behavior change.
• Uses nutrition technology for estimating needs and goals (indirect calorimetry, analysis software, glucometers).
• Mentors new graduates, interns, and clinical diet techs.
• Applies research to improve patient outcomes.
• Implements evidence-based care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Manages nutrition care across continuum including order writing for equipment.
• RD order writing privileges per policy/protocol.
