Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team in Cortlandt Manor. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support quality of life for patients/residents while aligning with dietary standards.

The role is non-exempt and paid hourly; on-site at Hudson Valley Hospital Center with opportunities to influence care plans and education across the facility.

Qualifications

• Passed the national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility requirements.
• Completes continuing education hours every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulations for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy’s standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Work with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Contribute to development and evaluation of quality improvement programs.
