Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support quality of life aligned with patient goals in a non-exempt, hourly role.

You will collaborate with care teams, follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, participate in QA programs, and educate staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with departments to set up procedures and policy related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
