Job summary

Aventura at the Bay in Saint Petersburg, FL is hiring a Registered Dietitian to support residents' nutritional health and well-being.

The RD will perform nutritional assessments, develop individualized care plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure therapeutic diets meet needs; a current RD/RDN credential and degree in Dietetics/Nutrition are required, with skilled nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Nutrition or related field.
RD/RDN credential required.
Experience in skilled nursing or healthcare preferred.
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and geriatric nutrition.
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Complete nutritional assessments for residents on admission and as needed.
Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on medical conditions, needs, preferences, and goals.
Monitor residents' nutrition status, weight, food intake, and progress.
Recommend therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutritional interventions.
Collaborate with nursing, dietary, medical, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Participate in care plan meetings and communicate nutritional recommendations.
Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff.
Monitor residents at nutritional risk and implement appropriate interventions.
Review menus to ensure they meet residents' nutritional and therapeutic needs.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Assist with quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition and resident care.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and facility standards.
