Job summary

Aventura at the Bay in Saint Petersburg, FL is hiring a Registered Dietitian to support residents' nutritional health and well-being.

The RD will perform nutritional assessments, develop individualized care plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure therapeutic diets meet needs; a current RD/RDN credential and degree in Dietetics/Nutrition are required, with skilled nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments for residents on admission and as needed.

• Monitor residents' nutrition status, weight, food intake, and progress.
• Recommend therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutritional interventions.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, medical, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care plan meetings and communicate nutritional recommendations.
• Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff.
• Monitor residents at nutritional risk and implement appropriate interventions.
• Review menus to ensure they meet residents' nutritional and therapeutic needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition and resident care.

Aventura at the Bay is seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and resident-focused Registered Dietician to join our healthcare team and support the nutritional health and well-being of our residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete nutritional assessments for residents upon admission and as needed.

• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on residents' medical conditions, nutritional needs, preferences, and goals.

• Monitor residents' nutritional status, weight, food intake, and overall progress.

• Recommend appropriate therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutritional interventions.

• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, medical, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.

• Participate in care plan meetings and communicate nutritional recommendations.

• Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and geriatric nutrition preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
