Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian for the Mississippi State Hospital - Whitfield location in MS. You will identify and assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions to support nutritional status, and enhance patients’ quality of life aligned with their goals.

The role requires state licensure/certification, relevant degrees, and ability to educate patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) required.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field preferred/required.
• Passed a national exam by the CDR or meet Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess nutritional needs of patients/residents.
• Initiate interventions to maintain or improve nutritional status.
• Enhance quality of life in line with patient goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to set up procedures and policies.
