The MediLodge of Rogers City invites applications for a Registered Dietitian to oversee nutrition care for residents in accordance with federal, state and local standards, in collaboration with the Food Service Director/Manager. Responsibilities include documenting assessments, coordinating diet orders, planning therapeutic menus, and working with the interdisciplinary team to tailor care.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• License or certification as mandated by the state.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred.
• Experience in long-term care environment and geriatric nutrition preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain clinical nutrition documentation for residents per policy and regulations.
• Ensure assessments and progress notes are accurate and descriptive of the resident’s plan of care.
• Ensure documentation is completed within required timeframes.
• Participate with the interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care.
• Involve the resident/family in planning objectives and goals.
• Coordinate with the Food Service Director/Manager to review and customize menus to meet resident preferences.
• Provide feedback to improve the menu.
• Monitor food temperatures and quality at point of service.
• Monitor distribution of nourishments, supplements, and meals to residents.
• Assist with processing diet orders and tray cards.
• Visit new residents on admission to obtain a Diet History and preferences.
• Routinely inspect the food service areas and practices.
• Participate in the long-term care survey process.
• Assist with purchasing decisions for food, supplies, equipment, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
