Job summary

AVI Foodsystems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Clinical Dietitian to join the team at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. This full-time position works with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive nutrition therapy and education to patients and families.

Starting pay is based on experience and qualifications. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nutrition or Dietetics, RD certification with Ohio licensure, and strong communication and independent work skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics; Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Dietitian with CDR and Ohio licensure or ability to obtain.
• Stand/walk 20–30% of time; able to perform in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication skills required; ability to work independently.
• Licensed or ability to be licensed in the State of Ohio; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy as part of the healthcare team.
• Conduct and document nutrition assessment, intervention, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
• Educate patients and family; act as a resource for staff and community.
• Manage resources cost-effectively; participate in performance improvement and maintain competency.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care across care settings.

Currently we are looking for the right candidate to complement the successful team as a Clinical Dietitian, Full-Time at Aultman Hospital. This position is located in Canton, OH. Starting pay is based on experience and qualifications. Qualified candidates should:

Position Overview

• The Clinical Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
• The Clinical Dietitian conducts and documents nutrition assessment, intervention, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation, including nutrition-focused physical exams.
• The Clinical Dietitian educates the patient and/or appropriate family member(s), serves as a nutrition educator for the other healthcare professionals, department employees, and acts as a nutrition resource for the community.
• The Clinical Dietitian manages resources in a cost-effective manner; participates in performance improvement efforts; and maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice.
• The Clinical Dietitian participates in various interdisciplinary teams and fosters continuity of care across all stages of the healthcare system.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an approved/accredited university or college program, a Master’s degree is preferred but not required
• Registered Dietitian with The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and currently Licensed or ability to be Licensed in the State of Ohio
• Work in a standing or walking position for 20-30% of the work time
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
