Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join the healthcare team at John J. Kane communities in the Pittsburgh area. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the healthcare team, educating staff and patients, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. A strong regulatory background and ability to teach are essential.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible per the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to educate others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition.
• Participate in development and review of continuous quality improvement programs.
