Compensation Range: $73,000 - 78,500 per year. Compensation will be dependent upon education and experience. This position will work full time, Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for overseeing the dietary component in tandem with the Center for Discovery Clinical Model.

Responsibilities include:

• Meeting weekly with each patient to implement and manage individualized dietary meal plans, including conducting weekly calorie counts.
• Conducting dietary intake assessments at admission.
• Documenting each client’s progress throughout treatment, ensuring daily notes reflect treatment goals.
• Facilitating nutrition groups appropriate for adult and adolescent patients.
• Supporting patients during meals and snacks to promote exposures, modeling supportive behaviors.
• Implementing a dietary treatment plan within a week of admission.
• Communicating with referring and outpatient treatment teams throughout the treatment episode.
• Overseeing diet technicians to ensure supportive mealtimes and monitor supplementation.
• Collaborating with the Director of Dietary Services and the treatment team to ensure high standards of nutrition and dietary services.
• Enforcing dietary programs and advising clients on food choices.
• Understanding medical consequences of eating disorders, hazards of refeeding, and how to avoid complications.
• Implementing specific dietary exchange patterns based on portion size and caloric recommendations.
• Facilitating family sessions, including family days and therapeutic meals, as appropriate.
• Communicating with medical doctors and psychiatrists regarding medical or dietary issues.
• Remaining accessible to family members, including weekly communication with parents of adolescents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with coursework approved by ACEND, and RD credential required.
• Licensed registered dietitian strongly preferred. Dietetic Interns must be RD eligible and scheduled to take the exam soon.
• Two years’ experience in dietary education and management preferred.
• Ability to obtain a food handler's permit or Serve Safe Certification.
