Job summary

The Renfrew Center of Nashville, TN is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join an eating disorders treatment team. The RD will conduct nutritional assessments, counsel patients, and develop individualized meal plans to support medical and cultural needs.

This role includes weekly counseling, group nutrition education, and collaboration with the care team; hours are Monday–Friday, about 40 hours per week with some evenings; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with current Tennessee registration.
• 2–3 years of nutrition counseling experience preferred.
• Experience with eating disorder population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive nutritional assessments on admission.
• Counsels patients on well-balanced nutrition in individual sessions and group discussions.
• Prepares individualized meal plans considering medical, nutritional, age, cultural, religious and ethical needs.
• Provides weekly individual nutritional counseling for patients and family as needed.
• Conducts nutrition education groups for adults and adolescents.
• Provides updates on nutritional status weekly as part of team rounds.
• Demonstrates accountability for patients' protected health information.
• Participates in in-services and training activities.
• Monitors meals and snacks and models normal eating.
