Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in New Brighton. You will assess nutritional needs, develop interventions, and work with residents to improve quality of life while supporting dining services and care planning.

This full-time, on-site role requires CDR exam or eligibility, ongoing CE hours, state licensure, and ability to educate patients, staff and families. The position offers a competitive salary between $70,000 and $75,000 and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Passed a national exam by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per the CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to educate others on nutrition and dietetics.
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced registered dietitian to our healthcare team in New Brighton. As a registered dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals. This is a non-exempt role and you will be paid hourly.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field.
• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
