Job summary

HHS Culinary and Nutrition Solutions, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. The role focuses on medical nutrition therapy, patient care, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to support satisfaction and quality care.

The starting salary is $75,000 (negotiable based on experience) with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and additional benefits like RD fee coverage and CEUs.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required by state regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets and various software.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments for all residents to create care plans with nutritional goals.
• Provide education to patients/residents, families, nursing, dietary service, and other staff on special diets and dining needs.
• Document assessment of patients/residents with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record.
• Review and approve patients’/residents' daily menu, snack, and supplement programs.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’/residents’ nutritional status.
• Attend resident rounds and nutrition meetings, and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance.

Job Description

We’re looking for a friendly, compassionate leader to join our culinary team! Guide patients/residents, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. Build relationships with physicians and nurses to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient’s nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

• Registered Dietitian at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA Starting salary $75,000 (Negotiable based on experience) + $5,000 RD sign-on bonus Extra benefits include paid CDR fees and up to 18 free CEUs per year!


• Complete nutritional assessments for all residents to create care plans with nutritional goals


• Provide education to patients/residents, families, nursing, dietary service, and other community staff on issues regarding special diets and patient/resident dining needs


• Document assessment of patients/residents with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record

Requirements
