Job summary

Piedmont Health SeniorCare seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition care and education to participants, evaluate nutritional status, develop and implement care plans, assess nutrient requirements, and communicate findings to the care team. The Dietitian will supervise dietary services.

Located in Pittsboro, NC, the role is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, requiring RD/RDN licensure and ACEND‑accredited education, with preference for experience with frail or elderly populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition with ACEND accreditation.
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition care and education to Piedmont Health SeniorCare participants.
• Evaluate participants’ nutritional status and develop individualized care plans.

About Position: The primary responsibility of the Dietitian is to provide nutrition care and education to Piedmont Health SeniorCare participants and provide oversight of dietary services. Evaluate the participants nutritional status, develop and implement nutritional care plans, assess nutrient requirements, recommend nutritional prescriptions, evaluate participant tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional care and communicate nutritional data and information to the physician’s and other health professionals. The Dietitan will also supervise the dietary coordinator.

• Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications –

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution approved by the ACENT (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) with a major in nutrition. Master’s Degree preferred. One year of experience with the frail or elderly preferred. Clinical dietetics experience preferred.

• Ability to provide care to geriatric participants; knowledge of clinical dietetics
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RND) or Registered Dietitian (RD). Valid NC driver’s license.

Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.

Pay Range: $59,050 to $79,358(commensurate with years of experience)
