Job summary

Excelsior Care Group's Belgrove Rehab and Nursing Center in Kearny, NJ, is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary care team. You will provide medical nutrition therapy, assess residents, and develop care plans within a skilled nursing setting, ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an active RD license, a Bachelor’s in Dietetics, and at least two years of SNF experience.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dietitian license or RD eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of SNF experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets, and food service management.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy and conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans using MDS/RAI.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, therapeutic diets, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, social services, and food service teams.
• Supervise dietary staff to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Participate in state and federal surveys and support corrective action plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and dietary records.
• Educate residents and families on nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Ensure alternative meals meet nutritional requirements when substitutions are needed.

Join Our Team as a Registered Dietitian

Belgrove Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary care team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing residents’ health and quality of life through individualized nutrition care in a skilled nursing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy and conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans using MDS/RAI
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, therapeutic diets, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Ability to analyze food service costs and manage dietary budgets
• Experience with food service operations and cost control
