Job summary

Hale Makua Health Services in Kahului, Maui is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our care team and coordinate nutritional care for residents.

You will guide staff, perform timely client assessments, review menus, and develop care plans to meet residents' nutritional needs in a compassionate, non-profit setting. This role offers an opportunity to impact elders' well-being through evidence-based practice and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics from an accredited program.
• Registered with the American Dietetic Association and Hawaii licensure when applicable.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare food service experience; long-term care preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience; maintain CDR continuing education hours.

Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.

The Position

We're looking for caring and dedicated Registered Dietitian (RD) to assist in the coordination of nutritional care for our guests/residents/Kupuna. Responsibilities include:

• Guides staff in monitoring client nutritional care outcomes and taking appropriate action.


• Performs assessments on clients in a timely manner according to Federal and State regulations.


• Reviews and approves all menus and snack lists monthly.


• Develops and modifies care plans to support clients' nutritional needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.


• Must be registered with the American Dietetic Association and licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii when applicable.


• Minimum of 2 years of food service experience in a health care program, preferably long-term care.


• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a health care program preferred. Maintains the required continuing education hours with Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) for registration.
