Job summary

Maria Parham Health in Henderson, NC is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our culinary team. You will guide patients and staff on medical nutrition therapy, build relationships with physicians to support patient satisfaction, and help achieve high-quality care aligned with nutritional needs.

The role offers a starting salary of $63,000 with a $3,000 RD sign-on bonus, negotiable based on experience. Benefits include paid CDR/licensure fees and up to 18 CEUs annually, plus PTO and insurance

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed per state requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Provide education to patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs.
• Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status.
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements.
• Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance.
