We are seeking a Registered Dietitian for Natchitoches, LA, within Cura Hospitality and Elior North America. The role focuses on identifying and addressing residents’ nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and enhancing quality of life in a hybrid setting.
New graduates are welcome, with emphasis on licensure and continuing education. Responsibilities include nutrition assessments, care planning, MDS completion, and collaboration with the care team to support resident well-being.
Competenze
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
- Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
- Licensed or certified per state requirements.
- Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments and care planning.
Mansioni
- Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly and annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% monthly.
- Deliver nutrition education to residents as needed.
- Create and update care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to align meals with resident preferences.
- Complete MDS for Section K and CAAs.
- Use nutrition-focused physical exam to identify malnutrition per ASPEN criteria.
- Participate in care conferences with families to discuss changes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in weekly clinical meetings.
- Attend QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement meetings quarterly.
- Participate in Monthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service Audits.

We are looking to add a Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Natchitoches, LA . As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality , you will have the AMAZING opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals' nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. This is a hybrid role. Experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated new graduates who are eager to learn and committed to success. Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% in 1 month, wounds, and for significant change assessments (such as a hospice admission or a significant improvement in ADLs).
Nutrition education as needed and requested by residents.
Creation and quarterly updates on care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks to tailor to resident food preferences.
Completion of MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAs.
Use of the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents who meet criteria for malnutrition according to ASPEN Malnutrition Criteria.
Care conference meetings with families to update them on changes with the resident.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary team to provide resident-centered care during weekly clinical meetings.
QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings each quarter.
Monthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service Audits
Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
- Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
