Job summary

Beecan Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian to oversee nutritional care for residents within our Greater Los Angeles area facilities. You will work with the Director of Dietary Services to ensure high-quality food service and nutrition plans for each resident, in compliance with applicable regulations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in acute or long-term care, RD licensure, and a degree in Dietetics. The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, respect for residents'

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in acute or long-term care required.
• Registered Dietitian licensure and appropriate state credentials.
• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or related field; ADA-approved program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nutritional care for residents per federal/state/local standards.
• Coordinate with Director of Dietary Services to provide quality food and nutritional care.
• Develop nutrition plans in collaboration with facility interdisciplinary team.
• Respect residents' rights and promote dignity and kindness in care.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the nutritional care of the residents in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, established Company policies and procedures, and in coordination with the Director of Dietary Services to ensure that quality food service and nutritional care appropriate to each resident is provided at all times.

Location: Greater LA Area

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times.
• Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.
• Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Reviews the dietary requirements of each resident when admitted to facility and as may be required, and assists the attending physician in planning resident's prescribed diet plan.
• Develops nutritional plan of care in conjunction with facility interdisciplinary members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years' experience in acute or long term care environment required; previous experience in multi-facility management preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local) as they pertain to dietary field, including interpretation and implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of the aging process and physical, psychosocial and social needs of the long term care resident population with regard to nutrition.
• Food production management experience and knowledge of MDS process preferred.
• Registered Dietitian required and licensure where required.
• Bachelor's degree from accredited college required, preferably in dietetics or related field; completion of state or American Dietetic Association approved training program preferred.
