Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field required.
  • Active Registered Dietitian License in Pennsylvania is mandatory.
  • Minimum two years of experience, preferably in long-term care.

Quality Life Services is looking to add a Registered Dietitian to our team. As the Registered Dietitian, you will provide dietary and nutritional services to long-term care residents to help them achieve their highest level of function.

About Quality Life Services

We are a family-owned healthcare network in Western PA, operating 10 skilled nursing facilities, along with Home Health and Hospice services, among others. With over 40 years of experience, we offer a wide range of services and see our employees as part of our family.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop or recommend a current diet manual to meet residents' needs.
  2. Assess and document the nutritional needs of each resident.
  3. Review and plan all regular and therapeutic diets and menus.
  4. Review residents' dietary profiles, assessment plans, and care plans.
  5. Assess and counsel residents regarding dietary allergies, preferences, appetites, and food habits.
  6. Evaluate and recommend meal timing, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  7. Evaluate food service equipment, nutritional adequacy, preparation methods, taste, appearance, serving temperature, and portion size.
  8. Assist Dietary Departments with recipe adjustments, ordering, and communication with residents and families.
  9. Maintain a library of relevant standards and regulations to ensure compliance and quality food service.
  10. Ensure menus meet nutritional guidelines according to industry standards.
  11. Complete assessments in Point Click Care.
  12. Attend weekly risk meetings and monitor dietary alerts.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or related field.
  2. Current active Registered Dietitian License in Pennsylvania.
  3. Two years of experience; long-term care experience preferred.
