Position Summary

As a Registered Dietitian, you will provide individualized nutrition counseling, patient education, and support throughout the weight loss journey—from pre-surgery to long-term maintenance. Your role will go beyond traditional dietetics—you will be a core part of our patients' success, offering guidance, motivation, and evidence-based strategies tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Education

1. Provide personalized dietary counseling for patients undergoing surgical, medical, or holistic weight loss treatment.
2. Help develop customized nutrition plans that align with each patient’s health goals and lifestyle.
3. Review lab results before post-op visits to guide supplement recommendations.
4. Support patients in understanding and maintaining post-surgery nutritional requirements.
5. Facilitate nutrition-based support groups to improve patient success and engagement.
6. Collaborate with the team to refine and enhance existing weight loss programs.
7. Develop educational materials and update the practice’s nutrition booklet to be featured on our website.
8. Organize and lead seminars, workshops, and community outreach events to promote awareness.
9. Contribute to social media and digital content creation, helping to educate and inspire patients.
10. Maintain an updated supplement list and oversee our online store, including inventory management and product development.

Administrative & Professional Development

1. Document patient interactions and plans in the Practice EMR system.
2. Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and hospital staff to ensure seamless communication.
3. Maintain and continuously update nutritional reference materials for staff and public education.
4. Stay current with the latest bariatric nutrition research and best practices to improve patient care.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

1. Licensed Dietitian in the state of Missouri (or eligibility to obtain)
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Passion for helping patients achieve life-changing results

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 2-3 years of experience in a weight loss, bariatric, or wellness-focused setting
2. Experience with community outreach, social media content creation, or public speaking
3. Ability to work independently and bring new ideas to the table
