Job summary

Red Cliffs Post Acute is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to assess nutritional needs, develop dietary care plans, and provide counseling to residents in a Colorado facility. You will monitor food services for safety, quality, and compliance with regulations, and collaborate with physicians and staff to tailor diets.

Ideal candidates are RD eligible or have completed a Bachelor in Food & Nutrition with internship, and possess ServSafe or similar certifications.

Qualifications

• RD eligible or completed Bachelor in Food & Nutrition.
• Eligible for RD Exam and licensure in Colorado.
• Minimum one year clinical healthcare experience preferred.
• Criminal and Colorado CAPS background check required.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs and develop dietary care plans with counseling.
• Monitor food service operations for safety, sanitation, and quality.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure orders match physician diets.
• Consult physicians and healthcare staff to tailor diets.

Red Cliffs Post Acute is hiring a Full-Time Registered Dietician!

Schedule: Full-Time

What to Expect:

Ability to meet all health, compliance, and competency requirements.

Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans in order to develop and implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling as needed.

Monitor food services operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards, as well as state and federal regulations.

Monitor food control systems such as food temperatures, portion control, preparation methods, garnishment and presentation of food in order to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.

Inspect diet trays for conformance to physician’s diet orders prior to delivery.

Consult with physicians and other health care personnel (Dialysis Dietitians, Nurse Practitioners, etc.) to determine diet restrictions and nutritional needs of residents.

Successful Candidates:

• Registered Dietitian or completion of approved Bachelor Degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition and eligible for the RD Exam.
• Preferable one-year experience in a clinical health care setting or completion of an accredited internship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as Colorado CAPS background check
• Servesafe certification a plus!

Rate Range : $75-$90K per year depending on experience
