Job summary

Family Dental Health in Columbia, SC is seeking an outgoing, team-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice. You will provide quality hygiene care, take digital X-rays, educate patients, and help foster a caring dental home for families.

The ideal candidate is licensed in South Carolina, proficient in hygiene treatments and radiographs, and willing to participate in community events and patient education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must hold a South Carolina dental hygiene license.
• Proficient in hygiene procedures, patient education and radiographs.
• Comfortable with digital imaging and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Perform hygiene treatments, scaling and prophylaxis.
• Take digital x-rays and capture intraoral photos.
• Apply sealants and fluoride as indicated.
• Educate patients on oral health and care plans.
• Assess dental condition and review medical history.
• Offer Same Day Care when applicable.
• Engage in community events to promote care.
• Periodontal experience is a plus.

Functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide quality and compassionate care to every patient
• Deliver direct care to patients, including scaling and prophylaxis
• Take digital x-rays
• Intraoral photos on every patient
• Apply sealants and fluoride
• Patient education
• Assess the dental condition and needs of patients and review patients' medical history
• Provide excellent customer service by offering Same Day Care
• Participate in community events and functions to educate others and promote a positive image of Family Dental Health
• Periodontal experience is a plus!

Requirements:

• Must be licensed in the state of South Carolina
• Proficient in performing all hygiene treatments, patient education, and taking digital x-rays
