Job summary

Family Dental Health in Columbia, SC is seeking an outgoing, team-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice. You will provide comprehensive hygiene care, take digital X-rays, and educate patients while delivering excellent service.

Licensed in South Carolina, you will contribute to a welcoming family-friendly environment and participate in community events to promote oral health.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in South Carolina.
• Proficient in hygiene treatments and patient education.
• Experience taking digital X-rays is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, compassionate care to every patient.
• Perform hygiene treatments including scaling and prophylaxis.
• Take digital X-rays and display intraoral photos on each patient.
• Apply sealants and fluoride where indicated.
• Educate patients on oral health and prevention.
• Assess dental conditions and review medical histories.
• Deliver excellent customer service with Same Day Care.
• Participate in community events to promote dental health.

Functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide quality and compassionate care to every patient
• Deliver direct care to patients, including scaling and prophylaxis
• Take digital x-rays
• Intraoral photos on every patient
• Apply sealants and fluoride
• Patient education
• Assess the dental condition and needs of patients and review patients' medical history
• Provide excellent customer service by offering Same Day Care
• Participate in community events and functions to educate others and promote a positive image of Family Dental Health
• Periodontal experience is a plus!

Requirements:

• Must be licensed in the state of South Carolina
• Proficient in performing all hygiene treatments, patient education, and taking digital x-rays
