Gentle Touch Smiles in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team. Experienced hygienists and new graduates are encouraged to apply. We offer a supportive clinical environment where you can develop your skills and provide quality patient care.

Responsibilities include prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride/sealant applications, charting patient histories, updating periodontal status, and assisting the dentist. Must hold a hygiene degree and state license.

Formación

• Hygiene degree/certificate from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel between locations preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing, caries prevention (fluoride/sealants).
• Chart dental histories and update periodontal status; maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Assist the dentist as directed.
• Administer local anesthetics where allowed by practice act.

• Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealant applications
• Accurately chart a review of patient dental history and update as necessary, patient's periodontal health, record provided treatment, and handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist
• Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act

Qualifications:

• A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
• CPR/BLS Certification
