The Dental Hygienist performs administrative, clerical and clinical duties, provides dental hygiene care to our patients under the direction of the Dentist and under the supervision of the Clinic Manager. As a member of the health care team, the Dental Hygienist performs duties in their capacity for the care of patients in the dental care clinic.

• Highly motivated candidate with great customer service skills
• A vibrant, friendly personality is a must, with a strong professional and polite mannerism
• Greeting and seating patients
• Accurate Dental charting
• Maintaining the highest level of infection control standards
• Proficiency in dental hygiene care including prophylaxis, scaling & root planning
• Taking digital radiographs
• Must follow OSHA and VSHWC policy and procedures
• Sterilize and maintains dental instruments (dentist or hygiene instruments)
• Consults with dentist regarding any questions regarding patients
• Dentrix knowledge is preferred
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR
• Meet continuing education requirements and maintain Registered Dental Hygiene license in California

This position requires walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods of time; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching; pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 pounds; raising objects overhead; manual dexterity for operation of computer, phones and small office machines; hearing, talking, and good verbal and written communication skills; repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.

Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug testing.
